RCIA stands for “Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults”, the process by which adults can enter the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion. Those who wish to become Catholic are received into the Church every year at the the Easter Vigil Mass.
Having said that, adults seeking just to learn about Catholicism are welcome to sit in on our classes, and those who participate in RCIA are not bound to go through the conversion process.
The RCIA process focuses heavily on catechesis, but also aims to incorporate activities that help participants better understand Roman Catholic liturgy, prayer, and customs. We welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about God and the Catholic faith.
